¿Te presentas al examen B2 First?
🌈 You know, every little helps! Getting this stuff right will help you break on through to B2!
Are you ready? Let the class begin!
Mistake 1
In conclusion, studying abroad was not what I expected but I don’t regret.
FRASE CORRECTA 👉🏻 In conclusion, studying abroad was not what I expected but I don’t regret IT.
En inglés, no es correcto decir “I regret.” What do you regret? You must regret something!
- I don’t regret it.
- I don’t regret my decision.
- I regret it so much.
👉🏻 I regret to inform you that your exam has gone missing.
👉🏻 I regret having shouted /shouting at my examiner.
👉🏻 I hate IT when people jump the queue.
👉🏻 I’d prefer IT if you sent me an email.
Mistake 2
I’m writting with reference to your advertisement.
FRASE CORRECTA 👉🏻 I’m writing with reference to your adverstisement.
Spot on!
- Is it beautifull or beautiful?
- Is it hopefull or hopeful?
Hmmm … 👀
Y algunos adverbios:
These fish & chips are cooked … beautifuly or beautifully?
¡RECUERDA!
- beautiful ➩ beautifully
- careful ➩ carefully
- grateful ➩ gratefully
- hopeful ➩ hopefully
- historical ➩ historically
- peaceful ➩ peacefully
Mistake 3
My brother is training to be vet because he loves the animals.
FRASE CORRECTA 👉🏻 My brother is training to be a vet because he loves animals.
- My father is an engineer.
- My aunt is a doctor.
- My neighbour is an otolaryngologist.
No usamos el artículo “the” cuando generalizamos:
- I love grapes.
- I don’t like avocados.
- Dogs make great pets.
It’s time to test your English!
Are you ready for the test? Break a leg!✌🏻
