Errores gramaticales comunes en inglés
Diálogo 1
Oh I feel really sleepy today and my head really really hurts.
I bet you passed out on the sofa again, didn’t you?
Look, I’m not in a very good mood, ok?
I really regret to have come to work today, I should have stayed in bed.
FRASE CORRECTA – I regret having come to work today.
I regret shouting at my boss/having shouted at my boss.
I regret eating /having eaten that greasy pizza.
I regret to inform you that you that your flight has been cancelled.
We regret to inform you that you are adopted.
Diálogo 2
Just drink this, ok? Drink it. You´ll better wake up or we won’t make a good impression on the investors.
I’m really not looking forward to it. Can you do it on your own?
LO CORRECTO ES: You’d better wake up.
You had better.
You’d better not wake me up when you come home or I’ll be very angry.
You’d better pay me back tomorrow or I’m gonna find you.
Diálogo 3
Did you read about this couple who won the lottery last weekend?
I did, yes, lucky people! Can you imagine to win the lottery?
I’d give up this job straight away!
FRASE CORRECTA: Can you imagine winning the lottery?
Guess what! Imagine es uno de ellos.
Otros son …. like, love, hate, enjoy, miss, feel like, mind, finish, risk, practise, put off, stop, suggest, can’t help, fancy, admit, deny, give up …
Si ya lo decía John Lennon: “Imagine all the people, living life in peace …”
Diálogo 4
Right, I’m just gonna go to the kitchen and get something to eat. Do you want anything?
Can you please fill in my mug with some hot water? Cause the tea’s getting cold.
I’ll be back in a minute.
Thank you Richard!
DEBERÍA HABER DICHO: Can you fill my mug up with hot water?/ Can you fill up my mug with hot water?
Could you fill in this form for me, please?
I need to fill in that hole on the wall.
Let’s fill up the car before the trip.
How much petrol would you like? Just fill it up.
Can you top me up, please? Cheers! 🍸
Diálogo 5
I’m not sure, let me just check.
Isabel, do you fancy going for dinner this evening with Claire and John at 7 p.m?
I’d love to, but it depends of what time I finish work, so I cannot confirm sorry.
Ok, yeah no she’s not gonna make it. She has to do overtime, but put my name down. Yeah I’ll be there.
I said I might be able to.
LA FRASE CORRECTA ES: It depends on what time I finish work.
Siempre después del verbo depend, usamos la preposición on.
- It depends on the weather.
- It depends on what time I go to bed.
- It depends, what does it depend on?It depends on you.
“It’s just a little crush, not like I faint every time we touch.”
“It’s just some little thing (crush), not like everything I do depends on you.”
“Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la.”

Your advices are very useful for me. Thank you so much. I always improve my English. I love it!
Hola, Margarita:
Gracias Guillermo! Este es un error muy común 😅 También podrías decir simplemente ‘thanks for your advice’,🤓 Tenemos una entrada sobre nombre contables e incontables. Un abrazo 🙂
Thank you for your help. I previously really struggled with the differences between the gerund and the to + Infinitive. Watching these videos really helped me reaffirm what I had previously learned.
Como dicen los españoles, “sois la leche”.
We’re the milk! Hahaha, thank you Caty! Where are you from?
¡Hola, amigos!
I’m so glad you found it useful Yolanda! Thanks for your comment! 😘
😎
Los felicito por su creatividad y originalidad!👏👏👏🎉🎊
YAY! 🙌 Thank you Emma! We always try our best for you! 😍
Thank you very much!!!💕
You are amazing!😎
Every day are better😻😇😍💞
Your video was very useful as usual. The only things I didn’t know were the difference between fill in and fill up and the phrasal verb pass out. I would appreciate more videos about phrasal verbs in different contexts and about verbs followed by gerund or infinitive with examples.
Thank u very much for your interest and dedicación. You are the best English teachers I’ve ever had.
Marvellous! Thank you Blanca! Yeah phrasal verbs are very much needed, we’ll try to make some more videos on that topic. A big hug from Amigos Ingleses. 🙂
exelente clase.
Hello Oscar!
Puedes decir:
Eat something in case you get hungry.
Eat something so you don’t get hungry.
Un abrazo 🙂
Hallo!!!! Muchas Gracias Isabel y Phillip!!!! Good job. Dudes. Love it
Hello amigos ingleses. First of all I want to say thanks for all the info you’ve shared with us so far now. I didn’t know the one with the verb regret, but from now I’ll be very careful.
I’d like you to make more videos to help us with our pronunciation and phrasal verbs which is very though.
Bye
Hello Imelda!
Thanks for your comment! There’ll be a pronunciation video coming next week! We have lots of videos on phrasal verbs, but we’ll try to make some more of course! This is one of my favourites! https://goo.gl/VXP9ar 🙂
I really like your videos, you’re very funny , so I always wait for them.Above all I learn a lot. Besides is a good way to practice native English expressions. Kisses for both of you.
